Notion Sync
Keep your Notion workspace up to date without manual work or copy-and-paste
Housecat keeps your Notion workspace up to date without manual work or copy-and-paste.
Instead of manually creating and updating contacts, companies, deals, or other records in your Notion databases after every intro or sales email, you simply forward emails to Housecat. Housecat reads the thread, extracts the key information, and updates your connected Notion databases for you. You always receive a summary and can reply to make changes or undo updates.
How to Get Started
Housecat takes just a few minutes to set up with Notion.
-
Connect your Notion workspace/s
Authorize Housecat to access your Notion workspace/s. This allows Housecat to create and update database records on your behalf.
-
Review your database structure
Housecat reads your existing Notion databases and fields so it understands how your data is organized. It proposes how email information should map into your databases, and you can adjust this if needed.
If you need help with custom configuration, reach out to help@housecat.email.
-
Get your Housecat email address
Every workspace receives a dedicated Housecat email address ending in
@housecat.email. This is where you and your team will forward emails for Housecat to process. -
Test the connection
Send the ready-to-go test email we share with you. Once processed, you’ll see a new “Housecat” record appear in your Notion databases.
You’re now ready to start using Housecat.
How to Use Housecat
Step 1: Forward an email
Whenever you receive an email containing information you want in Notion, forward it to your dedicated Housecat address.
Common examples:
- Customer introductions or referrals
- Sales leads or inbound inquiries
- Partnership conversations
- Follow-ups with new contact or company details
Step 2: Housecat processes the email
Housecat reads the conversation and identifies structured information such as:
People
- Name
- Role
- Contact details
Companies
- Name
- Website
- Industry or description
Documents
- Links to shared documents or data rooms
- Attachments included in the email
Housecat can also download shared files so they can be referenced in Notion – including files shared via DocSend.
Housecat updates multiple databases and maintains the correct Relation and Rollup links between them.
Step 3: Your Notion workspace is updated
Based on what Housecat finds, it will:
- Create new database entries, or
- Update existing entries
Housecat checks for possible matches and flags potential duplicates or conflicts.
Step 4: Housecat summary email
After processing, Housecat sends a clear summary showing:
- What entries were created
- What entries were updated
- Any possible duplicates or conflicts
Step 5: Reply if you need changes
If something is incorrect or you want to undo a change, reply to the summary email and Housecat will adjust the entries.
Errors and Changes
You’re always in control.
If Housecat creates or updates something you didn’t want, reply to the summary email and explain what should change. No need to log into Notion – just reply.
